Free Hazard Perception Test simulator
To help you better understand how the Hazard Perception Test works we have developed a web based Hazard Perception Test simulator using flash. This is similar to the Hazard Perception Mock Test feature in our software products for the Theory and Hazard Perception Tests. However, the quality of the web video is poorer and more highly compressed to allow for a reasonable download time and several of the features of the software has been excluded, including the accuracy of the anti-cheat which on this web based mock test only looks for an excessive amount of clicks or a short burst of rapid clicks.

Technical issues
Because the video is so highly compressed some PCs may struggle to play the video on the simulated test smoothly. This is not a problem with the DVD-rom software version as it is designed to work with even the most basic of PCs. Each clip on the simulated test will be loaded into your temporary internet folder for subsequent use by the simulator.

About the video clips on the simulated Hazard Perception Test
The video clips that appear on this simulated test have been taken from the practice section of the LDC Theory and Hazard Perception software products and give you an example of each of the hazard types that can appear in the real test. Some of the clips have also been designed to check that you remember to click each time the hazard develops as more clues appear. On these particular clips it is possible to click too early and miss the score window. Do not worry about clicking too early simple make sure you click each time a change occurs as the clues accumulate.

See Hazard Perception Types for full details of the types of hazards that are included on the test and advice about how to click to obtain the maximum score. If you buy one of our Theory or Hazard Perception Test software products you will find interactive multimedia tutorials on the subject as well as over 400 hazard perception test video clips to practice on. If you are not familiar with how the Hazard Perception Test works please click on the preceding link or the button of the same name before you undertake the test below.

Good luck with the mock test. When you are ready click on the image below to cause the Hazard Perception Test simulator to pop up in a separate web page:
