From viewing Internet forums and alike there does appear to be a general misunderstanding about what actually constitutes a DSA “developing hazard” as opposed to the term “potential hazard” more commonly referred to by driving instructors. Also there is concern about precisely when you should or should not click the mouse button (this is how you tell the computer you have seen the hazard) and finally what type of clicking is allowed.
Even though we feel we explain this really well (using video) in our current Theory and Driving Test 3-in-1 products as confirmed by the DIA Driving Magazine (i.e. “….and over the thorny business of what constitutes a developing hazard their explanation is certainly streets ahead of the DSA's.” ) we have improved this still further in our new product by introducing a comprehensive interactive tutorial with lots of examples dedicated to this task.
