After leaving my previous job I was looking for something with a bit more of a worklife balance, after looking at various avenues I eventually settled for a career in driving tuition. The next task was to look for a route into such work, I discovered most schools were about a similar price for training materials and therefore I elected LDC as the head office was local which meant I could pop in if I ever got stuck.

At the time that was my main concern and the deciding factor, in hindsight it was just a small detail that has justified the decision as the entire LDC setup is a joy to be a part of. Soon after I was introduced to Pat as she would be my tutor (Sorry Pat), from that moment she was always available either via phone, text email, anything...It meant it wasn't necessary to visit the office as I always had a point of reference who was easy to contact.

Throughout the training Pat never hid any faults or said it would be easy, she was knowledgeable, professional, honest and a joy to learn from. I'm sure I wasn't an easy person to work with but Pat made it such a comfortable environment and adapted to offer, without question, the best possible package tailored to me. A sure fire sign of a top teacher, mentor, and colleague.

Once I reached part 3 I began to struggle getting to grips with the skills required to be an instructor and at times became a bit downbeat with the process, Pat offered all the encouragement imaginable and in the end worked wonders getting me through the test at the third attempt.

Now I have qualified it is still good to know that Pat and the entire LDC network is only a phone call away and able to answer any queries.
