I approached Mike when I moved to Preston and he got back to me really quickly, which was greatly appreciated! I had started learning to drive beforehand and Mike was great at assessing my strengths and weaknesses, and knowing where to go from there. Thanks to Mike, crucial aspects of driving such as checking the blind spot are drilled into me, as Mike would never let me get away with missing any observations! This prepared me really well for my test. At times when I felt discouraged or nervous, Mike was really approachable and helped me to remain calm (especially right before my test) and he assured me that he believed in my ability, and that I needed to have more belief in myself! Mike encouraged me to be less hesitant in my decision making, such as emerging out of junctions or deciding to go at roundabouts – which was a big issue for me before learning with him. I can’t thank Mike enough for the support that helped me (a previously very nervous driver!) pass first time with 1 minor.
