I went through 2 experienced driving instructors before I was lucky enough to find Amy. I had been with these instructors for about 2 years combined and my driving was unpredictable, uncontrolled and quite frankly hopeless. Amy’s methods of teaching were unique and effective. Like the other instructors, she could identify things I was doing wrong. But her teaching went further and she could explain why I was doing those things wrong and implement learning strategies to combat these issues. She also encouraged me to bring forwards things that I didn’t understand or was struggling with, and if she didn’t have a quick fix up her sleeve, in our next lesson she would have prepared various strategies that she developed herself to try and help me overcome the problem. Amy produced a calm and comfortable environment to learn in. She always made an effort to point out the positives and never allowed me to dwell on the mistakes - no matter how bad they were! For me, learning to drive was serious battle and while it is a great achievement of mine, I could not have done it without Amy. If she can teach me to drive, she can teach anyone to drive! Amy has shown me just how much of a skill teaching someone to drive can be and I now value it highly as a profession. Somer
