I first heard about Phil when my older sister, Lauren, started having driving lessons with him. She passed her test quickly first time - and never let me forget it! I couldn't believe what a confident driver she was just after day one of passing her test. I convinced myself that I would be a dreadful driver in comparison but Lauren assured me that with Phil's help, I had a good chance of passing first time. So, as soon as I turned seventeen, I was straight on the phone to Phil.

I really enjoyed learning to drive with Phil. He was funny, calm, and very patient - especially when, on my first ever lesson with him, I punctured a tyre and he had to change it in the torrential rain! I always know how to make a good first impression! He had some excellent material too, such as maps and diagrams, which really helped me because I am such a visual learner. He also had a DVD which I realised, when I finally got round to looking at it, had everything you would ever need to know all in one place! I only wish I'd looked at it sooner!

When my test day arrived, I was very nervous but secretly quite confident as I knew Phil had given me all the preparation I needed to not only pass, but pass well! I felt in control during the whole test and I managed to deal with any challenging situations with relative ease. I was so happy when I passed - and now I have the bragging rights over Lauren because I'd passed with one less minor than she had!

Everyone had warned me that driving by myself would feel so weird but when I did, it felt really very natural and not only did I feel confident and in control, it was so much fun!

Thanks Phil for helping me learn to drive and not just how to pass the test.
