Despite having no interest in driving, Phil somehow managed to keep my concentration long enough to pass 2nd time. As I am busy studying in London I had to take intensive lessons for four weeks during various holiday times. Phil was very accommodating even when I had to cancel my driving test last minute.

Family and friends had joked that it would take a very patient individual to teach me to drive and they couldn't believe Phil seemed to be coping with me. Phil was extremely patient despite my outbursts and remained so, even when the car developed a fault that resulted in a fire and me phoning 999! Remarkably, Phil continued to teach me and I was soon driving around Sheffield feeling confident that I knew what I was doing.

Phil's sense of humour definitely kept me going, along with his varied teaching styles. I lose concentration easily but Phil kept me engaged by using a laminated booklet of pictures with an erasable pen to show different scenarios. He also kept a balance of driving with talking so that I wouldn't get bored. Phil doesn't just teach driving to get you through your test; he strives for you to gain a valuable life skill.

I am very sad to finish my lessons with Phil and won't hesitate to return for any top up lessons in the next few years. I would recommend Phil to anybody wanting to learn to drive.
