Jill Smith - Airdrie

I previously took lessons a few years ago with a different instructor, but gave up because I felt I wasn't making any real progress. I decided to give driving another try and gave the LDC system of driving a go. As I already had gained some driving experience with my previous instructor I booked the semi-intensive course with John. Instantly I began to see the benefit of the LDC system; with every lesson I felt like I was making real progress, which was the very thing I was missing with my previous instructor.

John struck a good balance between letting me practice those things I was comfortable with, while not being afraid to encourage me out with my comfort zone. John was always very keen in his explanations to explain why something was done in a certain way, rather than just telling me to do it. With the benefit of hindsight, this was the main differenece between John and my previous instructor as that I felt John was teaching me how to drive, and not simply how to pass my test.

As a result of John's patience, and professional approach used in conjunction with the LDC system I subsequently passed my test with two minor faults.

I would highly recommend John if you want to learn the skill of driving and not just to pass the test.
